5/31 - The New Bern High School Class of 1969 will hold their "39 & Holding" Reunion at the New Bern Shrine Club from 6:00 PM - 12 midnight. Cost is $25 per person. West Craven Pop Warner Youth Football Association is starting a new team called Tiny Mites this year and they are in need of donations to buy all the necessary equipment to protect the kids. The team will consist of 5-7 year old boys and girls. The equipment will include helmets, shoulder pads, jerseys, pants,and knee pads. They would appreciate any donation that is within your budget. The NC Estuarium is located at 223 E. Water St, Washington, NC, and is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10 AM-4 PM. Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for students. The Carteret County Domestic Violence Program needs volunteers to help in our local thrift shop, Caroline's Collectables. All proceeds from the business support the agency's shelter and services for victims of domestic violence and their children. Craven County Senior Services has openings for meal site participants at the Havelock Senior Center located at 103 Trader Avenue in Havelock. A nutritious noonday meal is served free each weekday to senior citizens who are at least sixty years of age. A variety of recreational activities and educational programs are also available. Transportation assistance may be available through CARTS for those in need of a ride.
